Our Story
DIY Crafts India was born from a combination of family business heritage, personal inspiration, and a genuine love for creativity.
For generations, our family has been associated with the wholesale and retail business of wood and wooden products. Growing up with this legacy gave us an understanding of materials, craftsmanship, product quality, and the importance of building long-term relationships with customers.
However, the idea of DIY Crafts India took shape through a different kind of inspiration — the creative journey of my wife, Kavita Chaurasia.
With over seven years of professional experience in DIY craft product design, MDF cutouts, creative kits, and event décor solutions, Kavita has always believed that creativity should be something people can experience themselves, not just admire.
Her work has included developing craft-based products, designing interactive DIY kits, creating MDF prototypes, and exploring ways to make traditional art forms more accessible through modern creative activities.
Watching her transform simple ideas into meaningful products inspired me to think about how we could bring this creativity to more people.
Before starting DIY Crafts India, I spent nearly three years researching the craft market, understanding customer needs, exploring product possibilities, and studying how creative materials and DIY kits could be made more accessible to Indian households.
That research, combined with our family’s business experience and Kavita’s creative expertise, became the foundation of DIY Crafts India.

Kavita holds a Master of Arts degree and a Diploma in Crafts & Design. She brings more than seven years of professional experience in DIY craft product development, MDF cutout design, interactive craft kits, and creative décor solutions.
Her professional journey includes working as a Junior Product Designer at Smartivity Labs from 2018 to 2022 and as a Product Designer at Hustler Collective LLP from 2022 to 2025.
Her expertise in product design, prototyping, material selection, and creative development continues to inspire the ideas behind DIY Crafts India.
Her belief is simple: creativity does not have to be complicated. It just needs the right inspiration and the freedom to explore.
