Light a diya and the room changes. Add an auspicious Swastik framed by a ring of flame-like motifs and the whole wall feels… blessed. Our MDF Swastik Lippan Art Cutout is designed for that feeling—calm, welcoming, a little festive even on regular days. The pattern is pre-etched, so symmetry is sorted; you can dive straight into colours, texture paste, and mirror work.
Hang it near the entrance, in the pooja corner, or build a two–three piece cluster for a statement wall. One board, many possibilities.
Why you’ll love it
- Auspicious centrepiece: Traditional Swastik motif (as used in Hindu, Jain and Buddhist traditions) brings good-will to entrances and mandirs.
- Lippan-friendly design: Engraved guides make it easy to create raised borders and place mirrors neatly.
- Premium MDF surface: Dense, smooth board—paint glides on, lines stay sharp, resin finishes level nicely.
- DIY in minutes: Comes clean and unpainted. Prime, paint, embellish—done.
- Looks custom, not DIY: The crisp edges + engraved detailing give a finished, “hand-crafted by an artisan” feel.

- Protective packing so it reaches you scratch-free
How to Use (simple playbook)
- Prime lightly. A thin base coat helps colours sit even and reduces paint soak.
- Build raised borders (optional). Trace the engraved lines with texture paste/air-dry clay for authentic Lippan relief.
- Paint & highlight. Jewel tones with gold, or earthy neutrals with chalk paints—both look beautiful.
- Mirror time. Stick round/teardrop mirrors along the ring; press gently and let the adhesive cure.
- Seal & mount. Finish with a clear varnish (or a thin resin layer). Mount using Command™ strips or a sawtooth hanger.
Studio note: test your colour + varnish on the back first. We learned this the messy way—gloss can surprise you.
Maker Ideas
- Diwali Glow: Deep maroon base, antique-gold borders, clustered mirrors around the centre.
- Minimal Sandstone: Beige chalk paint, white texture lines, no mirrors—calm and modern.
- Name Ring: Keep the inner circle clean and hand-letter your family name or a short mantra.
- Cluster Wall: Combine 8", 12" and a contrasting mandala piece for a reel-ready backdrop.
FAQs
Do I need to sand it?
Usually no. For an ultra-smooth finish, a quick 400-grit pass is enough.
Which paints work best?
Acrylics and spray paints behave beautifully. Metallic markers are great for outlines.
What glue should I use for mirrors?
A strong craft or silicone-based adhesive. Let it cure fully before hanging.
Can I pour resin on top?
Yes—first seal your artwork with a clear spray/varnish, then pour a thin resin coat on a perfectly level surface.
Is it outdoor-safe?
Designed for indoor use. If it must go outside, seal all sides thoroughly and protect from direct rain/humidity.
